Kiss of the Dragon: Korean-Inspired Pork Chops

Kiss of the Dragon: Korean-Inspired Pork Chops

Jul 07, 2024

You ever bite into something so good it makes you question your life choices? Yeah—these pork chops are that. Smoky, spicy, sticky, sweet, and kissed by the fiery magic of Dragons Twilight (aka our Orange Ginger Wasabi bombshell), this dish isn’t for the faint of heart... or tastebuds.

We don’t do boring here, and plain pork chops? That’s a crime against flavor. Enter: Korean-style pork chops with a twist—marinated in a sticky-sweet, fire-breathing blend that balances umami, heat, and citrusy sass. With our super-hot Dragons Twilight seasoning, this meal brings the heat and flavor faster than a K-pop dance break.

Double the batch. You’re gonna want seconds… and thirds… and maybe to hoard the leftovers from your family.

🐲 Ingredients – Feeds 4 Hungry Adventurers

  • 4 thin-cut boneless pork chops

  • ½ cup soy sauce (low sodium if you’re watching your salt)

  • 4 tbsp honey (for that sweet sticky glaze)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tsp sesame oil

  • 4 tsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce

  • 2–3 tbsp Dragons Twilight seasoning (depending on how fireproof your mouth is)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Optional garnish: sliced green onions, sesame seeds, lime wedges

🔥 Directions: How to Tame the Dragon

  1. Mix the magic. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, sweet chili sauce, and Dragons Twilight. Try not to chug it.

  2. Marinate the meat. Pour half the marinade over the pork chops and let them lounge for 10 minutes. Longer if you’ve got time (up to 1 hour).

  3. Save the sauce. Reserve the other half of the marinade—don’t mix it with the raw pork, we like you alive.

  4. Sear the sizzle. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork chops (discarding that used marinade).

  5. Flip & finish. Brown the chops for 5–6 minutes, flip them, then pour in your reserved marinade.

  6. Simmer the spice. Let it cook for another 6–8 minutes until the pork reaches 160°F and the sauce thickens.

  7. Rest and impress. Remove from heat and let the pork chops rest 3–5 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or a splash of lime if you're feelin’ fancy.

💥 Pro Tip:

Serve over jasmine rice or kimchi fried rice with a side of grilled bok choy. If your dinner table isn’t sweating and smiling at the same time, did you even Dragon?
