Jan 31, 2026

Some bowls are polite.
This one shows up hot, sticky, and unapologetically bold.
If sweet heat is your love language, you’re about to feel seen.

These Hot Honey Garlic Habanero Beef Bowls are what happens when cozy weeknight food flirts with danger. Savory beef, caramelized sweet potatoes, cool cottage cheese, and a honey drizzle that ties it all together—powered by Honey Garlic Habanero seasoning for that slow, lingering burn. Sweet first. Heat second. Regret never.

Feeds: 4 people (or 2 very hungry heat-seekers)
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes
Cook Temp: 425°F (oven) + medium-high stovetop
Servings: 4 bowls

Ingredients

For the roasted sweet potatoes & peppers

2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into ½-inch cubes
2 bell peppers, seeded and chopped
2 tbsp olive or avocado oil
Salt & black pepper, to taste
Volcanic Sunset seasoning (generous hand encouraged)
Optional: a pinch of Mellow Dusk for smoky depth

For the Volcanic Sunset Ground Beef

1 lb ground beef
2 tbsp oil
Salt & black pepper, to taste
Volcanic Sunset (don’t be shy)

For Assembly

2 cups cottage cheese
1 avocado, diced
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup chopped tomato
Honey, for drizzling
Optional garnish: fresh chopped cilantro

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Roast the Sweet Potatoes & Peppers

Preheat your oven to 425°F.
Spread the diced sweet potatoes and chopped peppers across a large baking sheet. Drizzle with oil, season with salt, pepper, and a healthy dose of Volcanic Sunset. Toss well.

Roast for 30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the sweet potatoes are golden, tender, and flirting with crispy edges.

Step 2: Brown the Ground Beef

While the veggies roast, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and plenty of Volcanic Sunset. Break it up with a wooden spoon and cook for about 8–10 minutes, until browned and fully cooked.

Remove from heat and resist the urge to eat it straight from the pan. (Or don’t. We won’t tell.)

Step 3: Assemble the Bowls

Divide the roasted sweet potatoes and peppers among four bowls.
Top with the honey-garlic-habanero beef, followed by a generous scoop of cottage cheese.

Add diced avocado and chopped tomato around the bowl, drop blueberries right in the center like a juicy little surprise, then drizzle everything with honey.

Finish with fresh cilantro if you’re feeling fancy—or trying to balance the chaos.

Tips & Notes

Sweet + heat balance: The honey drizzle tames the habanero burn just enough to keep you coming back for more.
Meal-prep friendly: Everything reheats beautifully—just add fresh toppings after warming.
Heat control: Want it hotter? Add an extra shake of Honey Garlic Habanero at the end.
Protein swap: Ground turkey or chicken works great if you’re feeling virtuous (or pretending to be).

This bowl is proof that sweet, spicy, creamy, and savory can all live happily together—like a slightly dysfunctional but very delicious family. Volcanic Sunset brings the punch, the honey smooths it out, and every bite keeps things interesting. Basically: bowl food, but make it dangerous.
