Remember those gloopy, mystery-meat “Manwiches” from your childhood? Yeah, we buried that memory too—right next to your Walkman. This revamped version ditches the canned nonsense and levels up with bold, smoky green chile flavor thanks to our Western Dawn seasoning. It’s still messy. It’s still meaty. But now it’s actually delicious.
These ain't your cafeteria Sloppy Joes. We’re talkin’ lean ground turkey sautéed with sweet peppers, a DIY sauce that skips the sketchy stuff, and a hit of Flavor Expedition Co.'s Western Dawn to bring the mildly wild heat. Serve it up on a bun, and suddenly dinner feels like a campfire cookout—minus the dirt.
Brown the turkey Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey, diced onions, and bell peppers.
Sauté Sauté until turkey is fully cooked and veggies are softened—about 7–10 minutes.
Season Season generously with Western Dawn, and don’t be shy—this is where the flavor comes alive.
Drain and lower the heat Drain excess liquid if needed, then reduce heat to low.
Make the sauce Stir in ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until everything melds into saucy perfection.
Serve Spoon that glorious mess onto buns and serve warm. Napkins highly recommended.
Pro Tip
Make it extra by topping with melty pepper jack cheese or crispy fried onions.

Made this recipe for dinner and absolutely love it! No more can sauce for us.
We usually have some leftover for a sandwich the next day when we use the can sauce, but not this time.
The flavor was so good we finished it all in one setting.
We did use burger for ours and went with 3 Tbs of Western Dawn which was perfect for us, just a little heat to wake up the taste buds, lol.
