1. Heat Things Up
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper so nothing sticks (including regrets).
2. Boil ‘Em Till Tender
Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with generously salted water.
Bring to a boil and cook for 15–20 minutes, until fork-tender.
Drain and let them steam dry for 5 minutes. Dry potatoes = crispier results.
3. Smash Time
Transfer potatoes to the baking sheet.
Using the bottom of a glass or measuring cup, gently smash each potato until flattened but still intact.
Don’t go Hulk mode. Controlled destruction only.
4. Flavor Bomb Assembly
In a small bowl, mix:
-
Melted butter
-
Olive oil
-
Minced garlic
-
Salt & pepper
Spoon or brush this glorious mixture over every potato like you’re painting flavor art.
5. Bake to Crispy Perfection
Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway if you’re feeling responsible.
They’re done when:
-
Edges are golden and crispy
-
Centers are fluffy
-
Your kitchen smells illegal
6. Garnish & Flex
Remove from oven. Sprinkle with Wildfire and Parmesan.
Optional: add Wildfire to butter mixture instead of sprinkling after cooking
Serve immediately while they’re hot and dangerous.
