You know what screams "vacation"?
A frozen watermelon margarita with a spicy-sweet Island Sunrise salt rim that turns your glass into a tropical paradise. This juicy, boozy blender party is the fastest way to teleport to a beach chair — no passport required.
Feeds: 2 parched party people
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes
Serve Temp: Ice-cold, ideally poolside
Servings: 2 generous cocktails (or 3-4 mini ones if you're sharing... but why?)
🧂 Ingredients
-
6 juicy limes, freshly squeezed
-
½ ripe seedless watermelon, cubed
-
2 oz tequila blanco
-
1 oz tequila reposado
-
1 oz triple sec
-
1 squeeze agave syrup (about 1–2 tsp, or to taste)
-
Ice (as much as your blender can handle)
-
Island Sunrise seasoning (or swap with Slow Noon for a mild moment)
🌀 Instructions
-
Rim that glass like a pro.
Pour some Island Sunrise seasoning onto a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass, then dip into the seasoning for that sweet-spicy-tangy rim. Set aside (and admire your handiwork). -
Juice it like you mean it.
Cut and squeeze all 6 limes into a bowl or directly into your blender if you like to live dangerously. No pulp, no problem. -
Load the blender.
Add the fresh lime juice, tequila blanco, tequila reposado, triple sec, agave, and watermelon chunks into the blender. -
Bring the chill.
Add a generous handful (or three) of ice. Blend until smooth, frosty, and irresistible. -
Pour & party.
Carefully pour into your Island Sunrise-rimmed glasses and serve immediately with a slice of lime or wedge of watermelon for extra flair. -
Sip, sigh, and smile.
Sit back and let the spicy pineapple-habanero rim work its magic with that fresh watermelon and tequila combo. Ooooh yeah.
If you needed an excuse to blend tequila with watermelon and call it self-care, this is it. The Island Sunrise rim adds a tangy kick that’ll make you question why you ever rimmed a glass with plain salt. Whether you're poolside, lakeside, or just hiding from your inbox — this cocktail brings the vacation to you.
