Make this Reindeer Chow to put into cute Christmas containers for a small, homemade gift this year!
How to make Reindeer Chow
1 cup Corn Chex
1/2 cup Rice Chex
1/2 cup Wheat Chex
2 cups pretzels
1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts
3 cups popcorn (microwavable should be fine)
1 bag white chocolate chips
1 tablespoon coconut oil
Christmas sprinkles
Chocolate Cinnamon Coconut Snack Seasoning
Stovetop popcorn (optional)
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
1. Pop popcorn according to your preferred method. Stovetop popcorn recipe below.
2. Add the Chex cereal, popcorn, pretzels, and peanuts to a large bowl.
2. Melt the white chocolate and coconut oil by your preferred method. If you use the microwave, keep an eye on it about every 30 seconds to make sure it's not burning.
3. Pour the white chocolate over the mix, and stir together, making sure to coat all the pieces.
4. Add sprinkles and Chocolate Cinnamon Coconut snack seasoning.
5. Spread onto a parchment lined baking sheet, add an additional layer of sprinkles and Chocolate Coconut Cinnamon then chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or until set.
6. Break into pieces and place into Christmas containers (I got these from Amazon in a set of 4) Add ribbon and/or gift tags for an extra touch.
Stovetop Popcorn (optional)
2 tablespoons coconut oil
½ cup popcorn kernels
Salt, to taste
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the oil and 2 popcorn kernels. Cover the pot and wait for the kernels to pop, which might take a few minutes.
Pour in the remaining kernels. Cover the pot again, and give the pot a little shimmy to distribute the kernels evenly.
Continue cooking the popcorn, carefully shimmying the pot occasionally to cook the kernels evenly. Once the kernels start popping, tip the lid just a touch to allow steam to escape. Continue cooking until the popping sound slows to about one pop per every few seconds. Sprinkle the popcorn with a few shakes of salt for taste.
