Getting your family to eat their vegetables doesn't need to be hard. They'll love this Savory Apple Gouda Sausage Skillet, we promise!
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon olive oil
12 oz Apple Gouda Chicken Sausage, sliced (or your sausage of choice)
2-3 carrots, peeled and diced
1 large red bell pepper, diced
1 large zucchini large, sliced
Crisp Morning
Fresh parsley, chopped
DIRECTIONS
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a cast-iron skillet on medium heat. Add in sliced sausage, turning frequently, until cooked all the way through. Once cooked, set aside on a plate.
If not enough oil left over, add in another tablespoon of olive oil. Add all of the vegetables* to the skillet and season with a good amount of Crisp Morning. Make sure the veggies are cooked until nice and soft before adding the sausage back in.
Give all the ingredients a good stir to combine. Top with chopped parsley. Enjoy!
*Please note: if you prefer your carrots to be softer, I'd recommend cooking them a few minutes alone before adding in the rest of the vegetables.
