Love fast food but hate the unnecessary additives and fillers? Plus, what's even in fast food chicken nuggets?! Try out this healthier alternative!
Ingredients
CHICKEN MIXTURE
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into smaller pieces
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
BREADING
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 large egg + 2 tsp water, whisked
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup panko
Lots of Tuscan Evening
Lots of Mellow Dusk
Instructions
1. Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees.
2. Mix all of the chicken mixture ingredients together and place into a food processor. Blend until a paste is formed. (If you have a big enough food processor, you can always add all ingredients directly into the food processor.)
3. Put together the breading by mixing together seasoned breadcrumbs, panko, lots of Tuscan Evening and lots of Mellow Dusk.
4. Form chicken mixture into shape of preference, measuring a rounded tablespoon at a time. Place nuggets into cornstarch, egg then breading mix. Lightly coat both sides of nuggets with cooking spray.
5. Toss in the air fryer for 5-7 minutes, flipping through half way.
