Ingredients:

For the Pizza:

  • 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, plus extra for drizzling

  • 1 lb pizza dough, at room temperature

  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, roughly torn

  • 1/3 cup whole-milk ricotta

  • Grated zest of 1 lemon

  • 4 oz broccolini, cut into ½-inch pieces

  • Kosher salt, to taste

  • 4 oz Italian pork sausage

  • Freshly grated Parmesan, to taste

  • Tuscan Evening seasoning, to taste

  • Optional: crushed red pepper, to taste

For Optional Marinara Sauce:

  • 1 can organic tomato sauce

  • 2–3 Tbsp Tuscan Evening seasoning


Instructions:

  1. Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 450°F. Swirl olive oil around the bottom and sides of a 12-inch cast-iron skillet or a 10-inch round cake pan.

  2. Shape the Dough: Pat the pizza dough into the skillet, letting it cover the bottom and rise about an inch up the sides.

  3. Layer the Cheese & Zest: Scatter the garlic and mozzarella over the dough, then add dollops of ricotta. Sprinkle lemon zest evenly across the top for that citrusy punch.

  4. Add Veggies & Sausage: Toss broccolini with a drizzle of olive oil, then scatter over the pizza. Season lightly with salt. Pinch small pieces of sausage and distribute evenly.

  5. Bake to Perfection: Bake for 20–25 minutes, checking at 20 minutes. The cheese should be melty with a few golden spots.

  6. Finish & Flavor: Sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan, crushed red pepper (if using), and a generous shake of Tuscan Evening all over. Carefully loosen the edges with a knife or spatula and transfer to a cutting board.

  7. Optional Marinara Magic: Mix tomato sauce with 2–3 Tbsp Tuscan Evening for a dipping or drizzling sauce alongside your masterpiece.
