Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
Cook Temp: Medium stove heat; optional 375°F oven finish
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (plus extra if needed)

  • 12 oz Apple Gouda Chicken Sausage, sliced (or sausage of your choice)

  • 2–3 carrots, peeled and diced

  • 1 large red bell pepper, diced

  • 1 large zucchini, sliced

  • 2 teaspoons Crisp Morning (Apple Jalapeño) seasoning (or to taste)

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

  • Optional: extra shredded Gouda for topping

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add sliced sausage, turning frequently until fully cooked. Transfer to a plate and set aside.

  2. Sauté the veggies: If the skillet looks dry, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Toss in carrots first if you want them softer, cooking 3–4 minutes before adding bell pepper and zucchini. Sprinkle generously with Crisp Morning. Sauté until veggies are tender but still have a little bite.

  3. Combine and season: Add the sausage back into the skillet. Give everything a good stir to make sure the flavors mingle. Taste and adjust seasoning—add more Crisp Morning if you want that extra kick.

  4. Optional oven finish: Sprinkle extra shredded Gouda over the top and pop the skillet into a preheated 375°F oven for 12–15 minutes until melty and irresistible.

  5. Garnish and serve: Top with chopped parsley and serve hot. Warning: this dish disappears fast!

Tips & Notes

  • For a little extra heat, sprinkle some crushed red pepper along with Crisp Morning.

  • Swap sausage types to customize flavor—chicken, pork, or even plant-based work great.

  • Make it a one-pan dinner: serve over rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
