His & Her Ooni Pizza Recipe (feat. Volcanic Sunset)

The couple that flames together, stays together.
We burned (and learned) our way to pizza perfection with this his & her showdown that features our Volcanic Sunset honey garlic habanero blend. One bite, and you’ll never dial for delivery again.


🍕 PROVISIONS

Feeds: 6 personal pizzas
Prep Time: 90 minutes (includes rise time)
Cook Time: 1–2 minutes per pizza
Oven Temp: 700–800°F in a pizza oven (or as hot as your oven goes!)

Dough Base:

  • 1 cup warm water (240g)

  • ¾ cup warm milk (160g)

  • 1½ tsp granulated sugar (5g)

  • 1 Tbsp instant yeast (9g)

  • 1½ Tbsp olive oil (20g)

  • 1½ tsp salt (9g)

  • 4–4½ cups flour

  • Extra flour (for dusting)

  • Alfredo sauce

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Canadian bacon

  • Arugula

  • Volcanic Sunset (Flavor Expedition Co.)

  • Olive oil (for brushing the crust)

  • Honey drizzle (for that sticky-sweet finale)


🍍 Her Pizza (a.k.a. The Tropic Tease)

  • Tomato sauce

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Canadian bacon

  • Pineapple chunks

  • Olive oil (for brushing the crust)

  • Rosemary Red Pepper Parm (Flavor Expedition Co.)


🔧 THE GAME PLAN

  1. Make the Dough
    In a stand mixer bowl, combine warm milk + water, sugar, yeast, olive oil, and salt. Gradually add flour until dough pulls away from the sides. Knead for 7–8 minutes until smooth (or 8–10 minutes by hand). Transfer to a bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour (or until doubled).

  2. Preheat That Beast
    Get your pizza oven to a blazing 700–800°F at least 30 minutes before baking. No Ooni? Use your home oven’s max temp and preheat with a pizza stone for 30–40 minutes.

  3. Divide & Conquer
    Punch down the dough and split it into 6 pieces (~175g each). Form tight dough balls, place on a floured baking sheet, cover with a towel, and let them rest for 15 minutes.

  4. Stretch It Out
    Dust a pizza peel or board with flour. Stretch each dough ball by hand into a 6–8 inch round.

  5. Top & Roll
    Add sauce, cheese, and toppings of choice. Brush the crust with oil and sprinkle on your Flavor Expedition Co. seasoning of choice. Check that the dough isn’t sticking to the peel!

  6. Launch & Spin
    Slide the pizza into the oven. Bake for 45 seconds, rotate, and bake another 30–45 seconds. The crust should puff, crisp, and lightly char.

  7. Repeat & Feast
    Keep going with the rest of your dough balls, build your own flavor combos, and don’t forget: drizzle responsibly.


🍕 Using a Regular Oven?

Crank it to the highest setting (usually 500°F+), preheat a pizza stone for at least 30–40 mins, and bake each pizza for 5–7 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
